We are recruiting an Retail HR Business Partner in Croatia for an international company, with 3,500+ employees in 8 European countries, with a strong activity oriented towards the online and retail environment, with a very large number of clients. The job is located in Zagreb.
Opportunity
The Retail HR Business Partner (Croatia) will partner with the local management team, reporting to the Country Manager and to the HQ in UK.
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure the structures and operating models continue to reflect the needs of the business as it grows and evolves
- Be a trusted advisor to the Country Manager
- Understand what good performance in theses business areas looks like, continually benchmarking against external talent and emerging trends
- Implement a climate of learning within each department
- Have a finger on the pulse in each of these divisions anticipating problems before they arise
- Help to embed company’s values throughout the employee lifecycle and act as a cultural ambassador
- Responsible for generalist HR advice and support including the delivery of HR cyclical activity
- Play an active part in business planning and the budget process across these departments
In partnerships with the Centres of Excellence [Group Operations, Group Reward, Group Talent and Group Employee Communications]
- Partner with the talent acquisition team to build a pipeline of candidates to meet current and future needs
- Ensure a smooth and effective recruitment experience is delivered that gives candidates the best possible experience
- Partner with the HR operations team to people analytics to drive and measure people interventions and initiatives
- Ensure an accurate and timely administrative provision is in place for corporate employees
- Partner with the talent team to utilise relevant frameworks for culture, engagement, leadership, talent and change management
- Partner with the employee reward team to ensure benefits and rewards work for the corporate division
- In line with the reward team’s guidance ensure the Retail teams understand their benefits and any financial incentive plans. Including their total value so that this can be leveraged as an effective retention tool.
- Design and facilitate team and leadership events
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of HR proactively identifying ways for the function to work smarter including bringing external trends and data insight to the HR SMT for discussion.

Successful candidates will have:

- Proven ability to use data and insight to effectively diagnose people opportunities and issue
- Strong influencing skills utilised to guide and enable their stakeholders and not to control them
- Previous experience partnering multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to coach and influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience optimising processes and ways of working
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop team members
